Located on a small hill on the out squirts of the city of Plzen in Slovany

 

November the 11th, 2008 on the eleventh hour from a hill down below. Veterans from the Czech Legion and Czech Veterans Association, gathered to commence the observance of Veterans Day.

 

 

Veterans of all ages, some from long days past, while others war veterans of today’s army of the Czech Republic.

 

 

Veterans, who have been globally joined together with

bonds of traditions by a brotherhood of brothers and sisters that can never be forgotten.

Soldiers, men and women who often die, leaves back home, some family to cry.

Czechoslovakian soldiers fighting from the trenches of France during WW-I.

Czechoslovakian pilots flew aircraft for the RAF during WWII, and today  missions in Afghanistan, Bosnia and other locations around the world.

 

 

The Czech Veterans Association includes veterans in its membership from all wars and all nations that are members of the UN and NATO alliance.

 

 

The Fifth Division is the oldest military organizations to be represented with history dating back to WW-I and liberations of Volary, Czechoslovakia during WW-II, with continual service that still exist today as the Society of the Fifth Division, United States Army.

 

 

The same dedications continue today with many different missions and tasks performed by soldiers from the army of the Czech Republic.
